Why it works

What is ABA?

What is ABA?

ABA, Applied Behavior Analysis, is a type of therapy that is based on the science of behavior and learning. Unlike many other types of therapy, ABA focuses mainly on observable behaviors and the environments in which they occur, rather than thoughts or feelings that are happening inside an individual. By studying these behaviors and their environments, behavior analysts can decrease challenging or harmful behaviors, teach new skills, and understand why behaviors are occurring.

ABA is classified as an evidence-based best practice treatment by the US Surgeon General and by the American Psychological Association. This means that as a science, ABA has been proven to be effective through research, therapies meet these criteria as well.

ABA is not a “one size fits all” approach; each program is individualized based on the needs of the learner and their family. The first step is a thorough assessment, after which specific goals based on the learner’s age, abilities, and preferences are written. Data on the progress of these goals is collected during every session to measure the effectiveness of the intervention and to help make decisions about future treatment.

Early Intervention ABA

Laying the foundation for a lifetime of growth

Early intervention is one of the most effective ways to support children on the autism spectrum.

Our programs help children and young adults develop foundational skills in communication, play, and social interaction, improving behavior excesses while decreasing unwanted behaviors.

Therapy is play-based and fun — we turn everyday moments into opportunities for learning, using positive reinforcement and individualized teaching plans.

*Community Readiness

Preparing children for success in their community

Our community readiness program builds essential pre-academic, social, and daily living skills that help children thrive across home, community, and structured group settings.

We support growth in areas like focus, following instructions, routines, communication, and positive peer interaction. Foundational skills that empower children to participate confidently and successfully in real-life environments beyond the clinical setting.

Parent Training

Parents are a child’s first and most important teachers.

Our parent training sessions are designed to help caregivers understand ABA techniques and apply them at home – promoting consistency and confidence outside therapy sessions.

Together, we create a supportive environment where progress continues long after the session ends.
